ROCKLAND, Maine (AP) _ More than 900 bicyclists are setting out on a ride along the Maine coast.
The 13th annual Maine Lobster Ride is being held on Sunday. Participants have a choice of six different routes that will cover 100 miles, 80 miles, 50 miles, 30 miles or 15 miles.
The ride starts and ends at Oceanside High School in Rockland and will take bicyclists through several Maine towns, including South Thomaston, St. George, Camden and Hope.
The ride is a fundraiser for the Bicycle Coalition of Maine, which advocates safe cycling.
Last year's event drew more than 900 riders to Maine's midcoast. Riders receive a lobster roll lunch after the ride.
