WINDHAM, Maine (AP) _ Maine investigators say they are reviewing crime scene evidence and tapes of recorded interviews prior to meeting with prosecutors next week about the fatal shooting of a Windham woman by her husband.
The Portland Press Herald reports that police will not say why a second interview planned Friday with the shooter, 33-year-old Noah Gaston, did not take place.
Police say Gaston shot his wife _ 34-year-old Alicia Gaston _ once in the abdomen Thursday morning at their Windham home.
Authorities say the shooting happened at about 6:15 a.m. and that their children _ ages 9, 8 and 2 _ were home at the time.
Officials would not comment on what Noah Gaston told them during his initial interview.
