LEWISTON, Maine - A lawmaker in Maine who has served four terms in the state House and Senate says she's leaving the Legislature this year.
The Sun Journal reports Rep. Peggy Rotundo will not attempt to run for the Senate again now that she has reached the maximum number of consecutive terms in the House.
The Democrat was first elected in 2000 and says she wishes she could continue to serve. She says she'll support the re-election campaign of state Sen. Nate Libby.
State Rep. Michel Lajoie has also termed out.
Candidates have until March 15 to sign up to run.
