Woman Accused of Killing Estranged Husband in Acton

ACTON, Maine - A woman is accused of killing her estranged husband at his home in Acton.
 
State police say 46-year-old Kandee Weyland was charged Wednesday night with murder and violating a protection order.
 
Authorities say 42-year-old Scott Weyland was assaulted outside his home earlier Wednesday. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy will be conducted Thursday to determine a cause of death.
 
Weyland is scheduled to appear in court either Thursday or Friday for her arraignment. It's unclear if she has an attorney who can comment on the charges.
 
State police say the couple's two children are staying with grandparents.
