A memorial of candles and flowers are on display in the Auburn Walmart parking lot for Jean Fournier, 41, of Turner, who was fatally shot Saturday evening.

State and Auburn police are still investigating the fatal shooting of a Turner man at a Walmart parking lot in Auburn Saturday night.  The victim has been identified as Jean Fournier, 41."So at this point we've arrived at no conclusions," says Maine Public Safety Department spokesman Steve McCausland.

Witnesses told the Sun Journal on Saturday that Fournier and another man, whose name has not been released, began fighting after one was cut off in the parking lot. But McCausland said all aspects of the investigation are still underway.

"We've interviewed, the autopsy has taken place, a ballistics test will be done, and there likely will be additional interviews as well," McCausland says.

Fournier died at Central Maine Medical Center. No charges have been filed.
