Police Seeking Facts on Greenville Murder-Suicide

GREENVILLE, Maine- Maine State Police investigators say the death of a couple,  discovered at their home in Greenville on Thursday, appears to be the result of a murder-suicide.

The state police major crimes unit found 71 year old Stephen Coffman and 73 year old Linda Coffman dead at their home on Beech Street, Greenville. State Police Social Media coordinator, Katherine England, says in a statement that it appears Stephen Coffman fatally shot his wife and then himself.

However, it is not clear when the incident took place.  Investigators say the last time anyone had seen the couple was in June of this year.

Police are seeking information from anyone who may have more facts about the case and information on the Coffmans. People with information are asked to call the Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit at  207-973-3700, extension 9.
