Kevin Raye, Republican Candidate for Congress

Handout photo

Kevin Raye is a Republican candidate running in Maine's second congressional district. He discusses why he's running, which issues he believes are most important to Mainers and what his priorities will be if elected. When Congressman Mike Michaud announced his candidacy for governor, the race for Maine's second district congressional seat became wide open. At first, there was a lot of speculation about who might run. But in the end, two democrats and two republicans threw their hats into the ring and face primary elections on June 10.

As part of MPBN's Your Vote 2014 campaign coverage, invitations to all of the primary election candidates have been extended to join the Maine Calling program. Kevin Raye and two Democratic candidates, Troy Jackson and Emily Cain, all agreed to appear. Republican Bruce Poliquin's campaign declined to schedule a date for Poliquin to appear.
