Celebrating the March on Selma - and examining where we are as a nation fifty years later.  Join us for a conversation about why the march on Selma was such a significant moment in the civil rights movement. We'll hear from a Mainer who participated in the march, and from leaders in the African American community in Maine on work still to be done.

Guests:  Rachel Talbot Ross, State Director for the NAACP in Maine and the President of the Portland Branch.

Michael Alpert, Director of the University of Maine Press and President of the Greater Bangor Area NAACP.

Peter Kellman, Food Community Builder, Union Organizer, Writer. He participated in the 1965 Civil Rights march from Selma to Montgomery.  Author of Building Unions: Past, Present and Future.
