Gary grew up in a steel mill town in PA and, at the age of 24, moved to Maine because it seemed like a cool place to live. He joined the Portland Rugby team where a transplant like him made 40 or so lifelong friends. He found a great job, married a wonderful woman with whom he raised a daughter and son in Falmouth. He is now enjoying two grandchildren with a 3rd on the way.
