Selected works by Maine artist Carol Bass will be on display this summer at Merrill Memorial Library in Yarmouth from June 1 through August 31. An opening reception will be held on July 31, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.
A painter, sculptor, author and spirited lover of family, friends, color, poetry, animals, and nature. Known for her vibrant and colorful paintings and mixed-media pieces, Bass worked mainly with acrylic, oil, and oil sticks on paper, wood, and canvas.

The community is invited to enjoy Bass's artwork at the Library throughout the summer and to celebrate her life and work at the opening reception on July 31. Selected works and copies of Bass's book "Ripple Effect: will be available for sale.
