Fused Glass: Drawing with Glass
Fused Glass: Drawing with Glass
Try drawing in glass for the first time or expand your skill set if you already have experience with glass art! Create a monochromatic drawing using black glass powder on white sheet glass. Black glass powder can be applied, moved and even layered to create bold and graphic images, delicate landscapes, and intricate portraits. It can be pinched, drizzled, stamped, sifted and stenciled for different effects and distinct tonal variations. Bring your own sketch, or use the provided ones, to create a beautiful work of art to be fired in the kiln.
This class is for adults of all levels and will discuss the basics of working in glass powder. Each student will complete 1 piece to be fired in the kiln to a tack fuse, creating a permanent work of art. The unique glass drawing will be either 4x6 or 5x5 and available the following week for pick-up. An N95 mask is required during class and will be provided. This class is suitable for beginner to advanced glass artists, ages 16 and up.
