Expand or launch your native plant garden at a free NATIVE PLANT SWAP & SALE at Rogers Pond Park in Kennebunk on Sunday, June 30. Set-up is from 1:00-1:30; the swap is from 1:30-3:00 pm.

Plants brought to the event must be native to Maine and “straight species”, not cultivars. To avoid spreading pests, plants must be bare root (rinsed well) or potted in commercial, bagged soil (not garden soil).

Bringing native plants back into yards and communities is essential to counter the population declines of local wildlife. Those who don’t yet have native plants to share are welcome to attend. You’ll have a chance to learn from experts like Shawn Jalbert, meet other native plant enthusiasts and launch your native plant garden!
