The Opus One Big Band will be performing at Waterville Senior High School , 1 Brooklyn Ave, Waterville Maine on Saturday February 7, 2026 at 7:00 PM. Waterville Schools jazz ensembles will perform with the Opus One band.
Opus One has been in operation for over 2 decades. Conceived by Dale Perkins, Opus One has made its mission to give local music programs a boost throug fundraising concerts for various groups and communities.
Dale, proprietor of Perkins Music House, Skowhegan, Maine has been actively supporting local communities for over 40 years, working with local churches and schools, as well as many more organizations, to offer services and music goods to support their mission across the State of Maine.
Composed of a group of professional and semiprofessional musicians from all walks of life, Opus One members volunteer their time to give fundraising concerts for communities around the state. Their mission is to support music in student's schools and student's lives.
Dale has recently honored Dan Scheider, Opus One Drummer and former Music Director for MSAD 1, with the challenge of taking over as Opus One Director. Using a team approach, Dale will continue to assist Dan in the preparation of music and selection of players.
The Waterville Senior High School music department intends to travel to New York in Spring of 2027 to perform at the WorldStrides Festival , and see a Broadway Show. Funds raised will support the trip.
Suggested donation: $10.00 adults, $5.00 students/seniors, $20.00 family max price.
