While the Maine sardine industry was well documented with oral histories during its heyday in the 20th century, not much has been recorded now that the industry is no more. PMM curator Cipperly Good is changing that by holding listening sessions with former cannery workers and community members in sardine cannery towns to document the aftermath of the canneries closing and how these communities have revitalized now that a major economic driver has left.
