Spring Warbler Walks at Fields Pond

Spring Warbler Walks at Fields Pond
During spring migration warblers are everywhere. But these small, colorful, active birds can often be hard to locate and identify. Here’s your chance to get some practice before all our trees leaf out. A walk through the variety of habitat types that the trails around Fields Pond have to offer should yield a diverse assortment of bird species. These walks are led by Wesley Hutchins. Wesley graduated from the University of Maine at Orono with a Bachelors of Science in Wildlife Ecology. He has had a passion for wildlife and birds in particular since a very young age, and has worked with monarch butterflies, pest insects, and domestic mice. Wesley has also worked surveying birds in the wild and worked in wild bird rehabilitation.
