Yoga Nidra Series: Relax & Transform

Yoga Nidra Series: Relax & Transform
If you want the benefits of meditation but struggle to “just sit still” and quiet your mind, this class might just be your cup of tea.
Yoga Nidra, the “yoga of sleep”, is a guided practice of deep relaxation and a powerful tool for self-transformation.
Gaining popularity in recent years, Yoga Nidra is beloved for its ability to bring us into a state of profound relaxation and deep awareness without great effort.
In Yoga Nidra your task is to lie down, remain comfortably still and follow the instructions. Through those simple steps you begin to access the state of deep rest where regeneration, healing and transformation take place.
In this 7-class series, each classes begins with 15 minutes of simple asana (postures) and pranayama (breath work) to help prepare the body & mind for the stillness of Yoga Nidra (25-30min). Classes build on each other, so it is recommended to come as regularly as possible to become familiar with the full scope of Yoga Nidra.
Recordings of the Yoga Nidra we do together will be available upon request for you to access freely.
Join in and discover the positive changes that happen when we learn to truly rest.

About the instructor: Yogatara (MTP/SEP)
I have been practicing Yoga since 1996 when I arrived in Nepal, the country that became my home for the next 25 years. I am trained in- and teach in- the classical tradition of the Bihar School of Yoga in India, which imparts Yoga as a way of life as well as a practice done on a mat. I spend my time sharing the teachings of Yoga, leading retreats and working as a holistic therapist specialised in trauma resolution. I love spending time in Maine, where my roots reach back for generations.
