Join us for an inspiring and intimate chamber music experience, featuring two of Maine's finest young musicians! The program traces a wide expressive arc for violin and piano, moving between intimacy, virtuosity, and rhythmic vitality, performed by Maya French on violin and Chris Staknys on piano. This dynamic duo will explore works by William Grant Still, J.S. Bach, Sam Wu, Johannes Brahms, and George Gershwin.
The three-time Tony Award winning laugh riot Lend Me A Tenor follows the misadventures of Max and the Cleveland Grand Opera company. After preparing a lovely reception for Il Stupendo, the greatest tenor of his generation, for a one-night only performance in Pagliacci Max finds his star on the verge of death, the theatre in potential ruins, and worst of all his fiance has a thing for tenors! As Max dons the makeup to stand in for Il Stupendo, hilarity and mischief ensue.

Delve into the art of paper-cutting with this nature-inspired Valentine’s workshop at the Gilley. You’ll make a heart-shaped piece of art from heavy paper and populate it with plants, birds, and wildlife using paper, X-ACTO knives, and rulers. Learn easy cutting techniques and strategies for planning your picture. This will be taught by Bar Harbor artist Lynda Millar, who also teaches woodburning and beginner carving classes at the Museum. Space is limited and registration is required. Students must be at least 13 years old.
