The dynamic Broadway stars of The Doo Wop Project are on a mission to put Doo Wop on everyone’s playlist! With their smokin’ hot band, they capture and deliver the classic sounds of the guys who, back in the day, harmonized with each other on stoops, in the subway, and on street corners, and they have also created a unique, exciting, fun way to “Doowop-ify” today’s biggest hits – reimagining them as though they had been written during the Doo Wop era! Once you experience The Doo Wop Project live on stage, you’ll see why everyone around the country calls them America's premiere Doo Wop group.
Their brand new 90 minute show — “Echoes of the Street” — keeps the classic sounds of Doo Wop alive for audiences of all ages. You’ll hear Doo Wop classics like the Del Vikings’ “Whispering Bells”, The Tymes’ “So Much in Love”, The Marcels’ “Blue Moon”, The Four Seasons’ “Sherry” and Motown’s “My Girl”. And you’ll fall in love with The Doo Wop Project’s Doowop-ified versions of contemporary songs by artists like Taylor Swift, Pharell Williams, Daft Punk and Chris Stapleton.
This show celebrates a music genre that has never lost its cool … while making it cool for generations to come.

Stage East presents Maine’s premiere production of WHITE RABBIT RED RABBIT, the award-winning play by Nassim Soleimanpour, October 10-12.
White Rabbit Red Rabbit was first performed in 2011 and has since had over 1,000 performances worldwide. Unlike most plays, the actor does not see the show or read the script until it is handed over on stage. There are no rehearsals—just a brave performer and an audience who experience the play for the first time simultaneously. There will be three performances by Stage East, with a different performer each time.
“We would like to tell you what happens in this play but we can’t,” says director Sarah Dalton-Phillips. “Each performance will have a different solo actor reading the play for the first time. Written symbolically, it avoids overt politics.”
The playwright, Nassim Soleimanpour, wrote White Rabbit Red Rabbit to travel the world when he was unable to. Spread by email, blogging, and social media, this intriguing and innovative play has received critical acclaim worldwide and been performed by stars such as Cynthia Nixon, Nathan Lane, and Darren Criss.
