Westbrook High School went into lockdown Thursday morning after a student brought an unloaded handgun onto the school campus.
After becoming aware of the situation, the school's resource officer removed the student from class while staff simultaneously placed the school under lockdown.
Westbrook police arrested the 14-year-old who brought the unloaded handgun and charged him with terrorizing and theft of a firearm.
