The sale of Parkview Adventis Center, in Brunswick, to Mid Coast Hospital has been approved by a Bankruptcy Court.

BRUNSWICK, Maine - The integration of two mid-coast hospitals is now official. A U.S. Bankruptcy Court has approved the sale of Parkview Adventist Center to Mid Coast Hospital, both based in Brunswick.

Lois Skillings, president and CEO of Mid Coast Health, will also head up the new organization, to be called Mid Coast Parkview Health.

Speaking at a press conference in Brunswick Friday morning, Skillings said a unified vision will allow the group to preserve the mission of the two hospitals.

"Today marks the beginning of a new bright new era for healthcare in the greater Bath, Brunswick and Topsham Community," Skilling said.

She says Parkview Adventist Medical Center campus will be renamed Parkview Medical Center, but will remain a faith-based organization with ties to the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
