Weather Knocks Out Power to 1,353 in Maine

BANGOR, Maine (AP) _ A Maine utility is working to restore power to more than 1,300 customers in several counties in the state.
 
    A total of 1,353 Emera Maine customers are without power due to weather conditions. Most of the customers are in northern Penobscot and Piscataquis counties, while some are in southern Penobscot, Hancock and Washington counties.
 
    The utility says there will also be an emergency outage in the Broadway area of Bangor to make urgent repairs. The outage will affect about 750 customers.
 
    Emera Maine says all customers should have power back by 12:30 p.m. Thursday.
