The Maine Center for Disease Control has added 197 cases of COVID-19 on Sunday.

In all, 49,850 cases of the disease have been identified in the state, and 736 people have died. No deaths were added Sunday, after five more were reported on Saturday.

More than a quarter-million Mainers have received their final dose of vaccine — just under 19% of the state's population.

On Friday, bars and tasting rooms in Maine were permitted to open for indoor service. Many say they have chosen to do so, cautiously.

The Maine CDC is next expected to brief the public on the pandemic at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
