Another 23 cases of COVID-19 have been diagnosed in Maine since Monday, but no additional deaths were reported.That's according to the Maine Center for Disease Control, which reports that a total 2,994 cases of the disease have been diagnosed in Maine, and 102 people have died since the disease first appeared.
Of the 2,994 people diagnosed with COVID-19, 2,443 have recovered - 34 more than Monday - leaving a total of 449 active cases in Maine.
Twelve of the new cases are in Cumberland County, six in York County and three in Kennebec County.
The cumulative number of people who have been hospitalized sometime during their illness grew from 336 on Monday to 339. Twenty-four people are currently hospitalized, 12 of them in critical care. Six are on ventilators.
The next Maine CDC coronavirus briefing is scheduled for Wednesday.
