Book Reading: The Shotgun Conservationist by Brant MacDuff
Join us on Tuesday, June 13th at 6:15pm for an exciting event featuring Brant MacDuff, author of The Shotgun Conservationist: Why Environmentalists Should Love Hunting.
In The Shotgun Conservationist, Brant shares his personal journey from staunch anti-hunter to compassionate, ethical hunter, weaving together a larger history of humans, animals, the environment, and our food systems. For people interested in our food systems, how to live more sustainably, or the ethics of hunting, this is an event you won't want to miss.
Brant MacDuff is a conservation educator and taxidermy historian. An avid environmentalist and jack-of-many-trades, Brant has worked for a variety of museums and outdoor related industries, all while supporting his primary work as a public speaker. He teaches instructional and educational classes on taxidermy, gives tours at the American Museum of Natural History, and lectures on natural history at schools, businesses, private events, outdoor retreats, and museums. When not on the lecture circuit or at home in Brooklyn, Brant can be found indulging in his favorite pursuits including hunting, fishing, horseback riding, sporting clay shooting, kayaking, and searching for the best obscure museums.
