Book Talk with David Florig

Book Talk with David Florig

Local author David Florig is coming back to Libby Library! Join us for a follow-up discussion on his novel, The Stones of Ailsa Craig on Wednesday, April 24 at 6:00 pm. This event will be of particular interest to those who have read the book, which takes place in 1880s Scotland and present-day Belfast, Maine. Come talk about this engrossing book with the author himself and fellow readers!

Copies of his book will be available for purchase at the event, and the author would be happy to sign them for those interested. Refreshments will be provided thanks to the generosity of the Friends of Libby Library.

This event is free, open to the public, and no registration is required.

About the Author
DAVID S. FLORIG is a member of the Maine Writers and Publishers Alliance, as well as a member and past-president of the Pine Tree Curling Club in Portland. The Stones of Ailsa Craig is his debut novel and is an homage to Belfast, Maine; the glorious Maine coast; and the ancient Scottish sport of curling. The Stones of Ailsa Craig was named a Category Finalist by the 2023 American Writing Awards.

David lives in Ocean Park, Maine with his wife of thirty-five years, Nancy, and their ill-mannered rescue dog, Molly Malone.
