Everyman Rep Presents Tony-Awarding Winning Play EUREKA DAY
Everyman Repertory Theatre is excited to announce the Maine premiere of the Tony award-winning play 'EUREKA DAY' by Jonathan Spector!
Vaccine news has been rampant in recent weeks with cheers and jeers, and supporters and skeptics all crying fair game or foul. It's hard to make sense of it all but this play could not be more timely. Current headlines and news could almost be plucked from the pages of the script.
The Eureka Day School in Berkeley, California, is a bastion of progressive ideals: representation, acceptance, social justice. In weekly meetings Eureka Day’s five board members develop and update policy to preserve this culture of inclusivity, reaching decisions only by consensus.
But when a mumps outbreak threatens the Eureka community, facts become subjective and every solution divisive, leaving the school’s leadership to confront the central question of our time: How do you build consensus when no one can agree on truth?
The show runs at the Camden Opera House October 10, 11, 12, 17, 18 and 19. Cast includes company members Michael Amico, Jennifer Hodgson, and Paul Hodgson, and welcomes A.J. Baldwin (Cincinnati, Ohio) and Jaine Ye (Washington State/NYC). It will be directed by James Hoban, who directed ERT's 'The Father' in 2024. Tickets available now at camdenoperahouse.com.
Saturday: 07:00 PM - 09:00 PM
