Explore 17th Century Foodways with Maine's First Ship
Special Guests Chef Sam Collins and Historian Mike Dekker join Maine's First Ship for an exploration of 17th Century Foodways through displays and demonstrations in the boatyard: sailor's provisions; hands-on butter churning; a discussion of the impact contact & trade had on both Indigenous American and European foodways. All while lunch will be cooking over an open fire--limited tickets are available for a seat at the table and this unique perspective on history. Join us 9-12 free of charge (though we do appreciate donations!) or get tickets for the 12:30 luncheon & more details at mfship.org/events or by calling the office at 207-443-4242.
