Learn a non-toxic method of oil painting that does not require turpentine. We will cover the initial set up and clean up in addition to learning how to apply the paint to various substrates. We will cover a variety of content, painting from observation and also learning how to paint from photographs. We will cover color and composition. The emphasis in this workshop will be learning new ways to work with oil paint. We will even learn how to work with an acrylic paint base coat for oil painting. Please bring your oil paints and a few canvases or wood panels that have been gessoed in advance. Beginners welcome!

$99 workshop fee does not include materials.

We will have an hour break for lunch between Noon-1pm. The studio will be closed during this break, but there are nearby parks where you can eat lunch if you brought your own, or you can check out one of the local restaurants in the area.
