Machias Wild Blueberry Festival (46th Annual)
The largest festival in Eastern Maine. Centre Street Congregational Church hosts this iconic event every year. Over 200 crafters and artisans, lots of delicious food, including all things blueberry, a blueberry pie eating contest, a five mile road race and one mile fun run, live music, a Blueberry Festival musical comedy, and Welch farm blueberry tours on Friday and Saturday (see a working blueberry farm in action). Festival runs from Friday August 18 through Sunday August 20. Full festival activities on Saturday and Sunday.
