Meeting of the Program, Needs, Grants, Planning, and Collaboration Comittee of the Maine Recovery Council
The Maine Attorney General is announcing a meeting of the Needs/Grants/Programs/Planning/Collaboration Committee of the Maine Recovery Council, every other Tuesday, from 3pm-5pm, begining February 20th, via Zoom. The Council’s work is to investigate the statewide needs for fighting the opioid crisis in Maine and to plan for distributions throughout the state of certain funds from legal settlements or bankruptcies to address the opioid crisis, including to 1) prevent opioid addiction; 2) prevent and reverse opioid overdoses; and 3) help Maine citizens recover from addiction. The Council is established pursuant to court order and 5 M.R.S.A. s. 203-C. More information is available on the following website: https://www.maine.gov/ag/recovery-council.
