On Dying...with Donuts
On Dying...with Donuts
Sign up now for our new year-long series On Dying…with donuts! The first program in this series will be held on Thursday, January 22 from 10:00-11:00 am where we will be introducing the series. This program series will be held monthly on the fourth Thursday, and there is no obligation to attend every session.
Sign up for this program by January 20 by stopping by, giving us a call at 934-4351, or sending an email to director@ooblibrary.org.
The goal of this series is to provide a supportive and compassionate environment that welcomes all to discuss and learn about topics surrounding death & dying. Open-ended conversations will help us explore a wide array of subjects: from end-of-life planning to how hospice care works, from how to deal with your grief when a loved one passes to writing an obituary, and everything in between. Occasional guest speakers will add their depth of knowledge to these conversations over the year-long series, and we will also host quarterly book discussions that will help us deep-dive into some of these topics.
Talking about death is hard, but we hope this program series (and the donuts) will make it a little easier.
