The Cumberland County Extension Association, which supports the University of Maine's Extension Service for the County, is having a party and everyone is invited! If you love the Extension Service, if you farm, if you garden, if you preserve food, if you participate in 4H, this is the event for you. It will give you an opportunity to meet the leaders of those programs, while you snack on locally prepared foods.

PIE MAKING CONTEST! (rules can be found at https://extension.umaine.edu/cumberland/county-extension-association/pie-rules/) Sponsored by King Arthur Baking, the top 3 winners receive $100, $75, $25 gift cards. The competition can be fierce so please do your best. After judging is complete, we get to eat the entries as part of the event, accompanied by honey herb ice cream made locally.

BEE PRESENTATION: Peter Richardson, a local beekeeper and wonderful presenter, will speak to us about the role of honeybees in our food system. Educational, informative and FUN!
