Surry Historical Society Public Meeting
Historian Holly Hendricks will vividly describe and illustrate the Civil War from the viewpoint of Sidney Stockbridge, a local man who sent letters home to Ellsworth with eye-witness accounts. Stockbridge was a civilian employee of the U.S. military who served on ships engaged in key battles of the war. Refreshments served.
