It’s time to put away the “beach reads” and stock up on books to cozy up with. The Friends of Rockport Public Library (FRPL) will hold their third book sale of the year on Friday, Sept. 19, and Saturday, Sept. 20, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Thousands of gently used books, audiobooks, DVDs, CDs, and puzzles will fill the library’s lower level.

Most items in the sale are priced between $.50 and $5, with all proceeds directly benefiting the library. FRPL members are encouraged to bring their red totes for a $10 refill. Only checks and cash can be accepted at the sale.

Volunteers are needed for help with table and book set up, cashiering, and clean up. Please contact the Rockport Library at 207-236-3642 for more information.

Orange Bike Brewing Company is hosting a Gluten Free market and expo! Our last gluten free expo was a huge success and this one we expect to be even better. This American Legion Post #36 Breakfast Buffet has been a tradition spanning many years now. Aside from a few minor unforeseen and unavoidable changes, most everything else remains the same. All who enter the Legion Hall doors on a Breakfast Buffet Sunday, will get a great meal for a fair price/donation, get to see old friends and/or family, or meet someone interesting for the first time. The menu items have satisfied many folks over the years, and I have no doubt that this year will be no different. So come and enjoy the Legion Buffet Breakfast this season, enjoy the food, enjoy the camaraderie, and learn how you (Yes, You) can play a key role in this year's breakfast season - or next year's season. There are a number of very important people who make these breakfasts a success each year, if you have any interest in becoming a volunteer or member of the breakfast crew - ask for the least important person in the mix (Christopher) when you arrive for breakfast. These breakfast buffets take place every other Sunday starting on April 2, 2025.
