The planning for our next Gardens Aglow is well underway, and we can’t wait to see you there! Experience this year’s theme, Nature in Motion, and see the Gardens come alive after dark. See the landscape transformed into a glowing journey through scenes depicting the flora and fauna of Maine’s forests, shorelines, and meadows—and don’t miss some fun new surprises in this year’s display!

Witness the exciting changes fall brings and build your ecological literacy with Fields Pond Audubon Center’s Homeschool Naturalists program! Designed for children ages 6-14, this engaging series will start as a whole mixed age group, then break into age based investigation teams to dive deeper into that week’s theme!
Together, we’ll:
Study the magic behind fall leaves,Explore fall seed dispersal and native plant life cyclesStudy the role of naturalists in identifying trends and patterns in our natural world.Learn how the local habitat prepares for the coming winterAnd more!Each session combines outdoor exploration, guided hiking, and nature journaling to deepen your connection with the natural world.

Light up the night inside and out with our annual luminary walk! Now in its sixth year, this winter tradition transforms Library Park with lighted displays and hundreds of luminaries, a bake sale, and live music. This year you can also warm up indoors with a special after-hours event that includes adult beverages, snacks, live music, an indoor luminary walk, and a pop up booksale by the PFL Friends.
Tickets for the indoor portion of the event are $10 for adults and free for children. All proceeds benefit the Patten Free Library.

Break out those ugly sweaters and join us on Saturday, December 6 at 9:00 AM for a holiday hustle down Route One in Falmouth. The Ugly Sweater 5K and Merry Mile are part of the Very Merry Falmouth weekend celebration with events running Thursday-Saturday. Proceeds from the race benefit the Falmouth Memorial Library's Annual Fund.
