Game night, every Sunday in Surry. We play new & old board games, card games, dice games, word games, tile games, team games... bring your favorites! Everyone welcome.

$2/person goes to the community center.

A Very Nutty Nutcracker

Portland Ballet delights and surprises audiences with A Very Nutty Nutcracker—the classic story turned on its head, with comedic twists in every scene. Audience members are invited to wear festive sweaters and attire as we all embrace the funny side of ballet and the holidays!

Which Stitch? is a community group where participants bring their current fiber and needle projects to work and converse with each other. Participants are welcome to use ArtWaves' supply of materials to knit, crochet, sew, mend, embroider, weave, felt, cross stitch, and so much more! Beginning instruction can be provided and the occasional special guest will introduce new techniques and demo their work.

This ongoing group maintains an email list for people interested in receiving regular updates and information. If you would like to be included, please email office@artwavesmdi.org.

The beloved holiday classic adapted right here at Portland Stage returns for the 2025 season! Featuring familiar actors and many of Maine's talented youth actors, this tale will delight audiences of all ages. Join us as Scrooge goes on a journey of reflection and reclamation as he learns what it means to give to others. This is an uplifting treat to add to all holiday traditions!

Celebrating its 5th year, Sounds by the Sea began in 2021 to foster community and enjoyment of live music in our cherished park. This free, family-oriented six-week summer concert series occurs on Mondays at 6:00 pm, starting after Independence Day. Concerts rotate between the Bandstand and the Picnic Shelter, made possible by the generous support of local business sponsors.

Join us in singing AS a community, FOR the community!
We build community by singing together, and we want you there. Everybody is welcome to join, no matter what your musical experience or skill level.

Registration for Fall 2025 will be on Monday, September 15th, September 22nd, and September 29th.

Rehearsals are on Monday evenings from 6:30-8:30pm at the First Congregational Church, 55 Elm Street, Camden, Maine.

Join the Lewiston Public Library for Baby Storytime in-person in the Children’s Department weekly on Tuesdays* from 10:15am to 11:15am.
*(The Library will be closed on Tuesday, November 11th in observance of Veterans Day.)

Recommended for children ages 0 – 3 years old and their caregivers.

Enjoy an interactive storytime with your baby that includes early literacy fun with books, songs, rhymes and body movement. Play and social time immediately follow the program.

This program is free, open to the public, and no registration is required. Siblings are always welcome.

Please stay home if you or your child are sick and not feeling well.

The Lewiston Public Library is located downtown at 200 Lisbon Street at the corner of Pine Street.
