Police Search Home, Car in Saco Home Invasion

SACO, Maine - Police say they have searched a New Hampshire home and car in connection with a home invasion and shooting in Saco, Maine.

The Portland Press Herald reports the investigation into the Dec. 18 shooting that injured a homeowner and his guest is still ongoing. Fifty-five-year-old Rachel Owens and 55-year-old Steven Chabot were shot that day at Chabot's home. Owens lives in Londonderry, New Hampshire, and was visiting Chabot and his wife when someone entered the house and shot them in separate rooms.

Police say they searched Owens' house last week and a car belonging to Owen's husband Gregg. They will not comment on what was seized during the searches. Police have not provided updates on the conditions of Chabot and Owens, but initially said they were expected to survive.
