PORTLAND, Maine - A Superior Court judge today denied a prosecutor's request to hold a court hearing behind closed doors.
Assistant District Attorney Thomas Miscio had wanted Justice John O'Neil to exclude the public from the courtroom due to fears that some of the information revealed could damage the reputation of some serving police officers.
This comes just a week after a Portland judge was forced to rescind a controversial decision he made to bar the media from reporting witness testimony in another criminal case. Tom Porter was at today's hearing, and talks with Nora Flaherty about the case.
