FORT KENT, Maine — The state has obtained a court order that will temporarily limit Kaci Hickox's movements, MPBN has learned.
It requires Hickox, who returned to Maine after treating Ebola patients in West Africa, to undergo direct, active monitoring, not to use public transportation, not to visit workplaces except for medical treatment and, whenever in public, to remain at least three feet away from any other individual.
The order also requires Hickox to remain in Fort Kent unless she makes advance arrangements with state officials.
A hearing on whether to continue these conditions will be held sometime in the next 10 days.
The court order was signed by Judge Charles LaVerdiere, the chief judge of the Maine District Court. To read it, click here.
