A Gorham woman is OK with only some blisters on her feet after lightning struck her home and shocked her from where she stood in her bathroom during yesterday's thunderstorms. National Weather Service Meteorlogist James Brown says it's true that lightning can get to you even inside your house.
"You've got wires that come into the house, that are close by the plumbing and they can sometimes be conducted right down the plumbing to a faucet or a bathtub spigot or something like that," Brown says.
The storms have also been blamed for a couple of fires in South Berwick and other damage.
