Autopsy Underway for Long Island Lobsterman Whose Death Called 'Suspicious'

LONG ISLAND, Maine - The Maine state medical examiner's officer is performing an autopsy on a lobsterman who was found dead in his driveway in an island town off of Portland.

Maine police say 59-year-old Steven Michael Hanson was found in the Long Island driveway on Wednesday morning. His autopsy is being performed on Thursday. Police have termed Hanson's death "suspicious.''

State police are still investigating the death and described its cause as "undetermined.'' They say two men found Hanson's body while they were walking. Police have said Hanson's family has been notified about his death.
