AUGUSTA, Maine - Maine's Department of Health and Human Services has submitted a bill that would amend numerous aspects of Maine's Medical Marijuana law.
Becky DeKeuster of the Maine Wellness Connection, which operates four dispensaries in the state, says she supports the department's efforts to strengthen medical marijuana regulations.
"In an emerging industry like this one, there is no blueprint, and we can't anticipate every possible outcome that comes up," DeKeuster says. "And so maintaining a flexible stance and being responsive is important."
DeKeuster says two other bills would establish testing labs to detect potency and contaminants in medical cannabis products.
