CARRABASETT VALLEY, Maine (AP) _ A blown fuse briefly stranded skiers and riders at Maine's Sugarloaf ski resort and idled lifts for about two hours on Saturday.
Spokesman Ethan Austin tells the Portland Press Herald those diesel power back-up allowed employees to get passengers off the lifts after the late morning outage.
The blown fuse cut power to all of the chairs above the Sawduster lift, which amount to about half of the resort's lift lines.
Austin said Sugarloaf electricians and Central Maine Power crews restored power by about 1:30 p.m.
