Maine Ready to Celebrate Farms at Maine Farm Days

CLINTON, Maine - The central Maine town of Clinton is getting ready for a two-day celebration of the state's farms.

Maine Farm Days is taking place at Misty Meadows Farm in Clinton on Wednesday and Thursday. Organizers say the event will include wagon tours, agribusiness exhibits, educational speakers and lots of animals.

Maine Farm Days is one of a few Maine agriculture fairs scheduled for this week. The Acton Fair is scheduled for Thursday through Sunday. The Piscataquis Valley Fair in Dover-Foxcroft is also scheduled to take place on those days.

The state Department of Agriculture, Conservation & Forestry says the events are geared at both farmers and non-farmers.
