AUBURN, Maine - Police in Auburn are investigating the circumstances around a body that was discovered floating in a local pond. Known as The Basin, the pond is located off Holbrook Road, where local police are being assisted by detectives from the Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit.
The body was discovered floating in the pond Sunday morning, according to Auburn Police Chief Jason D. Moen.
Authorities have released no further information about the individual's identity or speculated on a cause of death.
