Six more Mainers have died with COVID-19, and the state CDC has added additional 735 cases on Thursday.
The state has added more than 700 cases on two consecutive days. Prior to Wednesday the high mark for daily cases was 590. Maine CDC director Dr. Nirav Shah has attributed the recent increase to "process improvements" at the agency.
In all, 317 people have died with the disease in the state and 21,226 cases have been identified.
