In this image from video, Jason Joyce, a lobsterman from Swan's Island, Maine, speaks from Washington, during the second night of the Republican National Convention on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2020.

Eighth-generation Maine lobsterman Jason Joyce, of Swan's Island, addressed the Republican National Convention Tuesday night, saying he would support Donald Trump, after not supporting him in the 2016 election.Joyce said the president's recent deal to eliminate the European Union lobster tariff, his removal of commercial fishing restrictions on an Atlantic marine monument, and moving the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem changed his mind.

"As long as Trump is president fishing families like mine will have a voice," Joyce said.

Joyce said he believed President Trump's opponent, former Vice President Joe Biden, would be controlled by environmental extremists, which would hurt coastal communities.
