PORTLAND, Maine - Gas prices in Maine have fallen 2.5 cents per gallon in the past week.
Gasbuddy.com, which surveyed 1,228 gas stations in the state, says the average retail gasoline price in Maine is $2.34 a gallon.
The national average fell 6.7 cents per gallon to $2.33.
The price in Maine was nearly $1.15 less per gallon than a year ago, and nearly 22 cents per gallon lower than a month ago. The national average decreased nearly 33 cents cents per gallon during the last month and is about $1.06 lower than a year ago.
