The UUCB Concerts for a Cause series presents Maine’s popular and award-winning Don Campbell Band on Saturday, September 20th at the Unitarian Universalist Church. 1 Middle Street, Brunswick to raise money for the Immigrant Legal Advocacy Project and Oasis Free Clincs.
The Don Campbell Band is a highly versatile, energetic ensemble, which blends many musical genres. They play “American crossover” akin to the Eagles and John Cougar Mellencamp. The band has been a mainstay at concerts, fairs, festivals, cruises, and civic events for over two decades, performing a mix of Campbell’s own heartfelt, original creations, and the music of Dan Fogelberg, The Smithereens, Johnny Cash, John Denver and Van Halen… there’s never a dull moment with their presentations.
Fronting the band is Don Campbell, multi-instrumentalist, and lead singer/songwriter.
Don won a $50,000.00 Grand Prize at Nashville’s Grand Ol’ Opry with his original music, and he’s a six-time winner of the title, “Maine’s Best Singer-Songwriter” from the Maine Sunday Telegram’s Annual Reader’s Poll. Don has written and released 12 CDs. His CD Kites To Fly – Celebrating the Music of Dan Fogelberg was officially endorsed by the Fogelberg Association of Peoria. Don and bandmates often tour the country performing “An Evening of Dan Fogelberg Music. In 2022, Don was inducted into the Maine Country Hall of Fame.
