ArtsFarmington Presents: Oktober Fest – Opus One Big Band Dance

ArtsFarmington Presents: Oktober Fest – Opus One Big Band Dance

ArtsFarmington is excited to announce a special Oktoberfest Celebration featuring live music by the Opus One Big Band. The event will take place on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the North Dining Hall at the University of Maine at Farmington (UMF).
Attendees are invited to dance the night away to the classic sounds of a swing and big band orchestra or simply sit back and enjoy the music. A cash bar will be available, offering beer and other beverages to complete the Oktoberfest experience.

The Opus One Big Band is a collective of professional musicians from across Maine who have been performing together for more than 20 years. Under the direction of Daniel Schneider, the band is dedicated to supporting music programs throughout the state through benefit concerts and charitable events. Their performances have helped raise funds for various causes, including church concert series and music booster programs.

This event is a fantastic way to support the arts in the Farmington area while enjoying a night of lively music. Tickets are $20 for adults and can be purchased online at artsfarmington.org or at the door. Admission is free for UMF students and all youth 18 and under, thanks to the Arts Inspire Youth Program.

So grab your lederhosen and your favorite dance partner for a night of music, dancing, and fun!
